Members of the We are Plarners team will be mentoring anyone interested in the process of plarning tonight in the St. Joseph Church hall! Currently we are focusing on creating mats to be donated to Crossroads of Michigan during Thanksgiving week this year. “Plarners” will be sorting the donated plastic bags by color and shape, cutting them to make loops, rolling the strung together loops into a ball, and then crocheting the balls into mats. This is a really enjoyable activity where we have a lot of fun for a great cause!

When: Monday, August 23rd & Monday, August 30th

Time: 6:00 PM

Place: Room 4 at St. Joseph Church hall

Who: The coolest of Plarners(All those interested)

When we began collecting grocery bags to “plarn” sleeping mats for the homeless, we assumed there would be a great response but we underestimated just how great! Every week these bags come in droves and in order to keep the collection manageable we are seeking volunteers to Sort, Cut, Plarn, and Deliver mats. Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to participate! If you are interested in volunteering for this position please apply here.
For those interested in donating plastic bags you may bring them to our parish office!

Let’s go on a journey to find our way using G.P.S. or God’s Plan in Scripture!
Join us for a fun morning of songs, Bible stories, plays, crafts, games, prizes, and snacks.

*Please, Sign up BY July 26th!
