Henry E. Hoffman, age 98, of Trenton, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2026.

Henry was born on February 4, 1928, in Wyandotte, Michigan.  He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II where he worked as an ex-ray technician at Brooke General Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  Following his military service, Henry built a long and successful career with Detroit Edison, where he worked as a metallurgical technician until his retirement in 1990.

Henry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.  He was the loving father of Karen (David) Taylor, Nancy (Walt) Niewierski, Linda (Bob) Powell, Susan Owchinko, Joann (Kevin) Hill, Janet (Steve) Brown, Dave ( Colleen) Hoffman and Cathy (Dan) Ahearn.  Henry was the proud grandfather of 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  He is survived by sisters Marguerite Cole, Martha Muzar and Barbara Callahan.  He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Hoffman and sister Evelyn Hoffman.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and his sense of humor.  His life touched many, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Henry’s life will be planned at a later date.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.

through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
