Irene Anna Ochmanek | October 5, 1931  –  October 26, 2026

Irene A. Ochmanek of Trenton, Michigan, passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born on October 5, 1931, in Rockwood, Michigan, to Steven and Anna (née Nyerges) Muth.

Irene always put family first, and she often said they were her greatest blessing. After the passing of her husband, Ziggy, she dedicated herself fully to being the best mother and grandmother there was, and she never wavered in that devotion.

She found peace in the simple thing like working in her yard. She spent her free time reading, working on crossword puzzles, and playing games or a hand of cards. Her greatest joy, above everything else, was watching her grandchildren grow up.

Irene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ziggy Ochmanek; her parents, Steven and Anna Muth; and her sisters, Margaret, Julianne, and Barbara.

She is survived by her sons, Brian (Denise) Ochmanek and Doug (Denise) Ochmanek; her grandchildren, Jon (Lindsey) Ochmanek, Andy (Stephanie) Ochmanek, Mary (Adam) Tripp, Amanda (Angel) Garcia, Chris (Ashley) Ochmanek, and Megan (Bren) Bernard; and her great-grandchildren, Henry, Charlie, Ryan, Brady, Charlie, Lyle, Mila, and Ziggy. She also leaves behind many other loving family members and friends.

Irene’s warmth, her quiet strength, and her devotion to her family will be treasured always.

Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord,
