January 22 – S T R E A M  – St. John Paul II School PTA – 6:00 pm

1590 Riverbank, Lincoln Park – Your child is invited to join the STREAM Club! This evening program is offered to any elementary child age 3-13, who is enrolled at St. JPII School or a member of any of the supporting parishes (Christ the Good Shepherd, Our Lady of the Scapular and St. Vincent Pallotti). The club meets every other week until the end of the school year. Program involves fun STEM projects with a religious twist. First meeting is Tuesday, January 22 at 6:00pm. Registration forms must be brought with you to this first meeting and are available at the St. John Paul II School office or Christ the Good Shepherd parish office.

January 27 – St. John Paul II School OPEN HOUSE – 12:30 to 3:30 pm

1590 Riverbank, Lincoln Park – You’re invited to the annual open house to come see what St. John Paul II has to offer. St.John Paul II strives to help children learn about the world around them and to develop the skills that are necessary to succeed in today’s world. Open for children preschool through 8th grade. February 3 – Wyandotte Knights of Columbus breakfast – 8:45 am

Knights of Columbus, 3530 Biddle, Wyandotte – Enjoy all you can eat breakfast, including eggs, french toast, ham, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, juice and coffee. Free will offering.

 

February 9  – Winter Wonderland Dinner – 5:00 pm

St. Joseph Church Hall, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte – Mark your calendar for the Christian Ladies of the parish as they host their winter dinner. Catered by Veronica’s, dinners are $12.00 and  include, pork chops, meatballs, chicken and stuffed cabbage, with dessert and beverage. Tickets will go on sale the end of January. February 10 – World Day of the Sick Mass – Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament – 11:00 am

9844 Woodward Ave., Detroit – Join the world in prayer for those suffering from illness. The Mass will include the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and a blessing for caregivers and healthcare professionals.

February 10 – Jubilarian Mass – 11:30 am

St. Joseph Church, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte – All those couples of the parish that are celebrating a special wedding anniversary this year will be honored at this mass. If you have a wedding anniversary this year, such as 10 year, 15, 20, 25 and so forth, please call the office and provide your name and anniversary date and how many years. It will be published in the bulletin of Feb. 10.

February 16 – Knights of Columbus Comedy Night – 6:00 pm

K of C Lounge (Epicurean House), 3530 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte – You’re invited to the Wyandotte Knights of Columbus “Comedy and Cuisine” charity fundraiser. Tickets are $45 and includes dinner and show, pop, beer/wine, and dessert. Hosted by Julie Lyons with comedians Keith Ruff and Nate Armbruster, plus more!  Tickets are sold in advance only.

March 1 – Pallottine Fathers “Wearing of the Green” Dinner – 6:00 pm

Crystal Gardens, 16703 Fort St., Southgate – You’re invited to the Wearing of the Green dinner dance in support of the Irish Pallottine’s missionary work and to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Cost is $40 and includes family style dinner and open bar. Music by Jim Zang of Bass Note Productions. Door prize for best dressed “Wearin’ of the Green”! Grand raffles, chinese raffles and more!

St. Joseph Church Hall, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte – The On the Rise Bakery is a program of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.  The bakery will be in the hall with various breads and sweets for sale. With each purchase you are helping make possible the provision of supportive housing, training, counseling services, educational opportunities, and self help programs.

May 10 / 11 – Spring Fling Festival

Yack Arena, 3131 3rd Street, Wyandotte – Join us for one of the first church festivals of the season! Friday, 5pm to midnight; Saturday, 12 noon to 12 midnight. Music, food, dancing, Vegas area, media room, games for kids, vendor booths and adult beverages! Free admission, except after 6:00 pm, $5.00 cover charge for those 21 and over. More details to come as we get closer to the date!

May 18 – Women’s Day of Reflection – 10 am to 1 pm

St. Joseph Church Hall, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte – You’re invited to a spiritual day of renewal and prayer. Tickets are $10 and includes brunch and guest speaker. Beautiful program that will leave you full of the Holy Spirit. Tables of 8 can be reserved, or you can purchase individual tickets.

July 18 – Happy Cookers Maurice Salad Luncheon – 11 am to 1:30 pm

St. Joseph Church Hall, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte – The Happy Cookers of the Christian Ladies Ministry invite you to their famous Maurice Salad luncheon. Cost is $10 and includes salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Door prizes and much more! Make a day of it and bring your friends or family. Tables of 8 can be reserved if needed.

December 8 – Advent Candlelight Tea – 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

St. Joseph Church Hall, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte – Ladies are needed to host a table of 8 for your friends and family. As a hostess you provide tea, appetisers or dessert to share. Festivities include door prizes, lighting of the Advent Wreath, musical entertainment and scripture readings. It is a wonderful day to relax and enjoy before the holidays get too hectic for all of us.
