April 28 – Downriver Dementia Education Session

Atria Kinghaven, 14800 King Rd., Riverview –  Topic: Music Therapy & Dementia – The area of the brain that deals with music is the last to be touched by dementia. This session will teach you how to use music to stimulate memories in your loved one. 9:00 am breakfast, session to follow. Call Karen for complete time details at 734-479-5900.

April 29 – Roosevelt High School Concert – 5:00 pm

St. Joseph Catholic Church, 344 Elm St., Wyandotte – Join us as we welcome the Roosevelt Choir as the perform their Masterworks Concert at St. Joseph Church. Free Will offering.

 

May 5 – Pallottine Annual Golf Outing – 7:00 am

Wesburn Golf & Country Club, 5617 S. Huron Dr., South Rockwood – Join us at this fundraising event and dinner with 18 holes of golf and cart for only $90 per golfer ($360 Foursome). Pre-Registration with payment required. Deadline April 30 to sign up. Register by calling the Pallottine Mission House at 734-285-2966.

 

May 11/12 – Spring Fling Festival

Yack Arena, Wyandotte – Join us for the 13th Annual Spring Fling Festival on Friday, May 11 from 12 noon to 5:00 pm and Saturday, May 12 from 12 noon to 12 midnight. Bigger and better each year with entertainment by Your Generations In Concert, Toppermost Beatles Tribute Band and more! Activities for kids, food, games, vendor area, Vegas tables, raffles and much more! New this year, wine and bourbon tasting! Special guest appearance by “Roary”, Detroit Lions Mascot on Saturday, May 12 from 6pm to 7pm. Help needed at the “Kids Zone” at the Spring Fling!

We need many helping hands to make the Kids Games at the Spring Fling a success!! This year we have 7 different games that will need volunteers. Please sign-up to work a shift or two. We cannot do this without your help!

Note: we welcome and encourage all students to come and work the games with a parent. Any student who is not currently attending High School, needs to have a parent working the same game with them OR a different game at the same time.

May 16 – All Saints Soup Kitchen – 9:00 am

St. Joseph Church parking lot, 334 Elm Street, Wyandotte – Calling all volunteers if you’d like to help out with serving the homeless at All Saints Soup Kitchen in Detroit. Meet at the back parking lot of St. Joseph Church at 8:15 am to car pool down to Detroit. Also, baked goods are needed and can be dropped off at the Parish Office by Tuesday, May 15 by 3:00 pm.

 

May 19 – Women’s Day of Reflection – 10:00 am

St. Joseph Church Hall, 344 Elm Street, Wyandotte – Please join us for a day of spiritual renewal and refreshing of the soul. Special guest speaker Patty Chase, Regional Coordinator of Catechesis from the Archdiocese of Detroit. Event includes raffles, activities and brunch. June 22 / 24 – United States National UAC Congress

St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center, Detroit – The Pallottines present “Hearing the Call: Apostles for Today” as the topic at this 2nd annual conference. Sessions hosted by Fr. Noel O’Connor, Fr. Greg Serwa, Fr. Frank Donio, Fr. Rory Hanly, Duke Hynek, Donatella Acerbi and more. Single room $225 or $150 for double; Conference only $125.
