Edward (Ed) Norman Kostielney Jr. (82) died March 1, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Ed was born January 10, 1942 in Wyandotte, MI to Edward and Lorna Kostielney. He graduated high school from St. Patrick’s in Wyandotte, MI in 1960. Ed served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1966 and was stationed both stateside and overseas. After his military service, he worked the majority of his career as an Electrician at Ford Motor Company (Woodhaven) from 1968 to 2007. While working at Ford, he received an Associates Degree from Baker College.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Lorna and his brother Stephen, and he is survived by his loving wife Pearl, sisters Shirley, Dineen (Jerry) and Linda. Ed is also survived by his sons Ed (Suzanne), Craig (Kristen) and Brian (Rita) along with his grandchildren Courtney, Emily, Theodore and Paul.

For many years of his life, Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman. He fished and hunted deer and birds with friends and all three of his sons. Ed always loved and spoiled his dogs, especially Lilly, his yellow Labrador, who will miss him and the extra treats and leftovers he always gave her. Ed always enjoyed spending time at Vineyard Lake with Pearl and family and friends. He was a wonderful story-teller and would never refuse an opportunity to attend an ice hockey game. Mostly, he just lived for special occasions to spend time with Pearl and his loved ones whether that was a dinner out, or a casual evening at a family home.

Visitation will be at Czopek Funeral Home in Wyandotte from 2:00 to 8:00pm on Tuesday March 5.
