Jeffrey A. Taliaferro | February 18, 1954 – April 17, 2026

Age 72 of Wyandotte.

Jeffrey Allen Taliaferro entered eternal rest, surrounded by the love of family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and deep love for family, friends, and life’s simple joys. He was a devoted husband, a thoughtful brother and uncle, and a loyal friend to many.

Jeff was known for his gentle nature, quick wit, and warm sense of humor. Affectionately nicknamed “Mr. Music”, he had an uncanny ability to name a song within the first beat and always seemed to have the perfect tune in mind for any moment or conversation. He found great happiness in being with family and friends – whether sharing stories, traveling together, or simply enjoying time in each other’s company. An avid reader, he had a curious mind and an appreciation for a good book. He was also a passionate Michigan State Spartan fan, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his team.

In his earlier years, Jeff was an enthusiastic cyclist, embracing adventure and the outdoors. His love for biking took him to memorable places, including Hawaii and Austria, where he combined his passion for travel with his active spirit. He also enjoyed golf, finding both relaxation and camaraderie on the course.

Jeff built a respected career as an attorney after earning his license in 1986. He practiced law with integrity and dedication until his retirement in 2018, leaving a lasting impact on colleagues and clients alike.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Eva Taliaferro; his sister, Lynn (Jim) Fortney; his sister- and brother-in-law, Sue and Mike Harvey; his mother-in-law, Val Brettschneider; and his nieces and nephews, Kellie (John) Malett, Brian Fortney, Dustin (Arlene) Yoder, Courtney (Nick) Failer, and Leanna (Scott) Rendell. He was also a proud great-uncle to Beckett, Tyler, Colton, Ellis, Olivia, and Aiden. He also leaves behind many dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness and companionship.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virginia Taliaferro, and his father-in-law, John Brettschneider.

Jeff will be remembered for his kind heart, sharp mind, and the quiet, steady way he showed up for the people he loved. His presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those who loved him. He will never be forgotten and will always remain with us in memory and spirit.
