Joseph Schichl | February 12, 1941 – October 14, 2026

Joseph Schichl was born on February 12, 1941 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to John and Anna (Kneidinger) Schichl, who resided in Wyandotte Michigan, passed away at his home on October 14, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born on February 12, 1941, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to John and Anna (Kneidinger) Schichl. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Schichl; his siblings, John Schichl, Matilda Davis, Agnes Schmidt, Henry Schichl, and Raymond Schichl; and his son-in-law, Scott McMahon. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Sharon Schichl; their children, Joseph (Teresa) Schichl, Julie (Paul) Piesz, and Jill (Scott) McMahon; his grandchildren, Robin, Elizabeth, Maggie, Kyle, Grace, Timothy, and Molly; his great-grandchildren, Zelda and Zander; and his sisters, Donna Toth and Anna Berzinskas.

Joe was a dedicated family man who took great pride and joy in being part of the lives of his children and grandchildren and keeping up a lovely home with his wife Sharon. Joe loved to fish, golf, and play cards with friends and family. He worked 36 years at Great Lakes Steel ascending to a Master Planner at retirement.

He leaves a legacy of family values that will endure for generations. He was cherished for his good sense of humor and will be missed by all.
