Our Lord Jesus said, “The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet…. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy.” (699) The plenary indulgence that was issued for Divine Mercy Sunday does not change the promises of Our Lord. Rather it provides the Church’s highest mark of approval and endorsement and gives souls more time to go to Confession.

Please join us for Confessions on Saturday, April 2 at St. Joseph Church, starting at 2:45 p.m. to 3:55 p.m. for Confessions. (Mass starts at 4:00 p.m.) We will have two priests available so all will have time to have their confessions heard.

Jesus is relying on us to help Him.  By virtue of our Baptism, we are called to evangelize.  Make it your business to do everything possible to save the souls of the lost within your family and at our parish. Encourage them to go to Confession on Saturday and receive Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday.

The Easter Cross Witness was created to give disciples of Jesus Christ an opportunity during the Easter Season to witness to the Risen Christ. A cross is placed blank side out during the Lenten Season and is turned on Easter Sunday to declare, “He is Risen…And It is Finished!  The Easter Cross Witness gives a visual witness that prayerfully creates opportunities for a verbal witness. If you don’t have your cross from last year and need to purchase another one, there are some still available at the St. Vincent Pallotti Parish Office for $4.00 each.

A Lenten Taize will take place Sunday, February 21 and March 13 at 4 pm at St. Joseph Church.

The Taize prayer service will combine candlelight, silence and prayers of intercession with song to help us become aware of God’s presence within us.

Refresh your spirit this Lenten Season and turn to our spiritual rock, which is Christ, Himself.

The Taizé prayer experience is very powerful and healing. The service will be led by Kim Kilburn, Music Director at St. Vincent Pallotti Parish. The service is only 30 minutes and will be well worth your time. Will you make this part of your Lenten journey?
