Vincenzo “Vincent” Noto was born on December 7, 1933 in Terrasini, Sicily, to Antonino and Vincenza Noto. He passed away on August 10, 2023, at the age of 89 in Trenton, Michigan.

Vincent was born December 7th, 1933 in Terrasini, Sicily. The most important thing in his life was family. He was the eighth child in a family of twelve. Vincent enjoyed telling stories of his childhood. He claimed he did not own a pair of shoes until he was 12 years old and often attended church barefoot.

He made the brave choice of moving to Canada at age 26 where he lived with brother Nino and sister-in-law Rosina. He met and married Grace in 1959. They celebrated their 64th anniversary in June.

He was the proud father of Anthony, Salvatore and Anna Marie. Providing for his family was very important to Vincent. He worked two jobs for many years, painting houses during the day and then working at Whitehead and Kales on the afternoon shift.

He was thrilled when his family from Sicily began moving to the States, housing some of them just like his own brother did for him. He enjoyed gathering with them and playing cards late into the night.

His family grew and he welcomed his grandchildren Dominic, A.J., Amanda, Alexandra and Melissa. They were his pride and joy.

Vincent did not retire until he was 80 years old. He had a long list of repeat customers who remember him as a wonderful painter and a hard worker. His family believes that he is in heaven right now painting for Jesus.

In the last years of his life his great grandchildren were like a Fountain of Youth. Ellis arrived in 2018 followed by Luca, Oliver, Isabella and Stella. You never saw him happier than when he was playing with them.

Vincent loved his garden and looked forward to making wine every year. He loved to exercise and walked vigorously twice a day through the neighborhood. He enjoyed watching the Red Wings even though he often complained about them. He loved sitting with his friend Larry exchanging stories and talking about life.

His family will miss him so much but take solace in the fact that he is having a wonderful family reunion in heaven .

Vincent is survived by his wife of 64 years Grace Noto, his children Anthony (Danielle) Noto, Salvatore (Carol) Noto, and Anna Marie Rogers (Shunbe Nedd); his grandchildren Dominic (Sarah) Noto, Andrew (Chelsea) Noto, Amanda Noto (Taylor Kurtz), Alexandra Noto and Melissa Noto; and his great-grandchildren Ellis, Luca, Oliver, Isabella, and Stella.

Vincent is also survived by four siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents Antonino and Vincenza (Brancaleone) Noto and seven siblings.
